  • The registration is needed for traditional herbal medicinal products;
  • The evidence of traditional herbal medicinal products that has been used ‘throughout  a period of at least 30 years preceding the date of the application, including at least 15 years within the Community’; and
  • The evidence of bibliographic review of safety data and expert report for the safety of medicinal product.

  • In 1994, the United States has launched the Dietary Supplementary Health and Education Act 1994 (Public Law 103-417, Washington). The law provides for the establishment of an Office of Dietary Supplements within the National Institutes of Health.
  • The products of herbs and other botanicals vitamins and minerals have fallen under the definition of dietary supplements no matter if they are presented in forms of pills, capsules, tablets or liquids.
